I have a ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe board, running Win XP. I have two RAID arrays set up on my computer, which have been working perfectly for a year. On the Intel controller I have two Maxtor SATA 160Mb drives striped. On the Promise controller I have two ATA and two SATA Maxtor 160Mb drives, set up as RAID 10 - mirrored and striped.
I have Win XP on the Promise array, and use the Intel array as a lage file storage drive - and yes - I do need a lot of space! Recently during the bootup sequence the Promise controller is stating that the array is critical.
I assume it's a faulty drive, as I've checked all the connections. Playstation 2 Development Tool Dtl T10000 here. After entering the Promise array setup however, it cannot tell me WHICH hard drive is faulty. The intel controller on the other hand tells me the serial numbers of the hard drives, but the promise controller only tells me the model numbers, and not even which one is faulty.
Can anyone help? Do you know of any utilities that may help? Promise themselves do not support the controller as it's built in. Thanks, John. According to the FastTrak 378 Quick Start Guide (a doc on the Asus mobo install CD) once you see the POST report the array is critical, you should CTRL+F to enter the FastBuild utility. Then it says to go to and 'select the failed array', and this is supposed to somehow tell you which drive has failed, channel and ID.
Then you replace that drive, then go back into CTRL+F again, choose Rebuild Array, then under '[Select Drive for Rebuild]' it says to highlight the replacement drive. This would be important. I know you're telling me you can't tell which drive, but I've not seen this failure, so I'm just telling what the manual says. Of course, the same manual also says 'On bootup, the FastTrak 378 Startup BIOS will display an error message identifying which drive has failed' but I rather suspect they mean which array has failed, because otherwise you wouldn't have had to ask.
Descargar Parche Para Validar Windows 7 Professional Gratis. Does this help? Or are you really asking how to map the channel and ID to which port and drive? I'm not sure about that; my copy of the manual doesn't discuss SATA drives, so we know this is an older manual.
I know on mine, D0 is SATA_RAID1 and D1 is SATA_RAID2. Not sure how PRI_RAID comes up. If I find out any more I'll post it back here. Thanks - that does help.
Robotc For Mindstorms V2.0 Crack. I was hesistant to go to 'define array' as I feared loosing ALL of my data. As it turns out, there was some transient problem with my drives - I disconnected and reconnected all the leads again, CTRL-F took me to 'rebuild the array', and once completed, it all works fine. I'm fearful that the transient nature of this might lead me into some false sense of security, so the moment it happens again, I'll go to rebuild, and hopefully it'll tell me the correct drive to replace. And yes - it does mean array, not drive.
Thanks for your help, John.
