In other words, HP has abandoned your product. It's so abandoned, their last XP driver update was published December 200 1.:( And, unfortunately, HP doesn't list a 'workaround driver' for your printer (under Vista), either. Google search has also turned up nothing. Frankly, the thing is old.
That HP is no longer supporting the printer is their right. You might not like that, but, the thing is close to 10 years old. HP probably didn't expect them to last a decade.;) Time, methinks, for a new printer.
